Our Project

Bodegas y Viñedos Señorío de Aldea, founded in 2013 is a family project that continues the work undertaken by my grandfather Jacinto Sotillos, who enjoyed taking care of his vineyards every day.
The winery is in the quiet town of Aldea de San Esteban, formerly noble Lordship and on the Camino del Cid route. Aldea´s distinctive signs are his hill pierced by old wineries and traditional wine presses, its historic center and the disappeared Torre de Doña Urraca at the west, all surrounded by beautiful landscapes watered by the bucolic younger brother of the famous Douro River: Pedro River.
The wines created in our winery are the result of a meticulous selection of our best lands. Our elaborations are distinguished first of all according to the type of soil, the microclimate existing in the area and finally by the grade of maturity and sugars of the grape.
Our harvest each year is limited on average to 2800Kg per Ha, well below the average of the rest of Ribera del Duero, which symbolizes the quality guaranteed of our future wines.
